Environment for the management and measurement of digital ad campaigns. Brand maintenance, campaign, ad, and user creation and management. 

Details
My role in this project was Design Lead of an Agile product team, comprised of UX/UI Designers and Developers building a web-based rich-media building platform.

As design lead, I was the point person in advocating for our users while investigating design-based solutions to new initiatives and technical challenges. Balancing design ideals with the realities of resourcing and shifting prioritization was fundamental.

Learnings
I learned a ton about embracing incremental change — properly executed, strategized, and implemented —  to help balance technical needs with user needs in order to enhance the overall user experience.

Design Lead Responsibilities 

  • partnered with leaders of Development, Sales, Creative Services to develop, implement, and achieve objectives and key results
  • implemented a prioritization strategy for proposed feature development
  • facilitated open communication between all teams regarding key features and updates
  • practiced a rigorous design process based on an atomic design principles to ensure quality control
  • participated in weekly sprint planning and prioritization 
  • informed ux research with design perspectives gleaned from design research
  • advocated for a design-first methodology, to improve overall quality and encourage critical thinking and actionable feedback

UI/UX Design Responsibilities 

    • participated in design research (user interviews, surveys, usability studies)
    • created and maintained design pattern libraries and style guides
    • presented to the team as part of advocating for design solutions
    • created final design comps sent for development
    • explored solutions through sketching, researching, drafting, mocking
